As part of the day-long program, teams from across Serbia gathered to share the ideas, knowledge, and skills they acquired during their preparations. In an exciting, inspiring, and creative way, the children presented their innovative solutions, once again inspiring all of us to go a step further in the world of science, technology, and engineering.<\/p>\n
The day began with a grand opening ceremony, where Ana Petrovi\u0107 \u2014 Serbia’s Engineer of the Year for 2023 \u2014 addressed the participants.<\/p>\n
Following the presentation of all 18 teams\u2014hailing from Gra\u010danica, Ra\u0161ka, Novi Pazar, Po\u017earevac, Kragujevac, Belgrade, Pan\u010devo, \u0160abac, Prnjavor, and Sremska Mitrovica\u2014the event continued with the robot runs on the specialized mission mats and the presentation of the innovation projects.<\/p>\n
At the grand closing ceremony, the top three teams were announced, receiving invitations to participate in the regional competition in Slovenia, held on March 16th.<\/p>\n
The organization of the Challenge program was at an exceptional level, thanks to the partners who provided their support and recognized the importance of developing science among children and youth. These companies include- EPAM Systems<\/a>, HTEC Group<\/a> i Netconomy<\/a>.<\/p>\n The breaks throughout the day were made even better by the companies Knjaz Milo\u0161<\/a> and Jaffa Crvenka<\/a>, which once again provided refreshments for the participants and organizers.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”56557″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”right-to-left”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”56556″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”left-to-right”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text el_class=”tekst”]In addition to the invitation to participate in the regional competition in Slovenia, the top three teams received valuable prizes from our partner, Kockarium<\/a>. One of the teams’ tasks during preparation is to program and design a robot that will complete missions on a special field and collect points. This part of the Program is called the Robot Game, and the teams had three attempts of two and a half minutes each to achieve the best possible result. Once all teams had used their three attempts to overcome the obstacles, each team’s best score was taken into account, and the winner was the team with the highest number of points.<\/p>\n During the presentation of the teams’ innovative solutions, the evaluation also took into account how each team designed and programmed their robot, developed their mission tactics, and how they presented the entire process. The component encompassing all of these elements is known as Robot Design.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”56559″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”left-to-right”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”56560″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”right-to-left”][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”56558″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”right-to-left”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text el_class=”tekst”]Every season is defined by an Innovation Project theme that teams work on for several months. This year’s theme, MASTERPIECE, focused on combining art and technology to bring the activities and hobbies teams love to as many people as possible. Before a panel of judges, the teams presented their solutions and the ways they reached their target audience.<\/p>\n The uniqueness of the Program lies in the Core Values that represent its foundation: Innovation, Discovery, Teamwork, Inclusion, Impact, and Fun. Evaluation takes into account how participants treat their teammates, mentors, other teams, organizers, and everyone who is part of their team journey.[\/vc_column_text] The participants of the MASTERPIECE season are:<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text] When taking into account the engagement across all four components of the program, the team that stood out the most and claimed the title of Challenge Program Champions in Serbia for the 2023\/24 season is the LEGOMusketari team from the First Kragujevac Gymnasiu<\/a>m.<\/p>\n In addition to LEGOMusketari, the teams LEGO Kings from the “Kralj Aleksandar I” Primary School<\/a> in Po\u017earevac and Leg008 from the Ra\u0161ka Gymnasium<\/a> will also travel to Slovenia for the regional competition.[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_single_image image=”56563″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”right-to-left”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text el_class=”tekst”]All three teams demonstrated exceptional respect for the Core Values and identified, designed, created, and communicated their Innovation Project ideas and solutions, as well as their robot design and programming, at a very high level.<\/p>\n Within each component of the Program, one team stood out particularly and deservedly took home the trophy in that category.<\/p>\n When looking at the overall points scored in the Robot Game, the LEGOMusketari team from the First Kragujevac Gymnasium took first place. The trophy for the best-programmed and designed robot went to the Leg008 team from the Ra\u0161ka Gymnasium. The LEGO Kings team from the “Kralj Aleksandar I” Primary School in Po\u017earevac provided the most comprehensive response to this season’s theme. The foundation of the FIRST LEGO League program is its Core Values, which were most prominently incorporated by the “Noobovi” team from the “Digi Klinci” programming school<\/a> in Belgrade.<\/p>\n This season, for the first time, the “Best Booth” (naj\u0160tand) award was presented. It was given to the team that uniquely showcased the season’s theme, their team journey, and their hometown, while successfully interacting with other teams and visitors. All teams put in an extraordinary effort, and the CodePogim team from the Po\u017earevac Gymnasium<\/a> stood out the most.[\/vc_column_text] To ensure that every move and completed mission on the Robot Game field was monitored in detail, Danijela Panti\u0107, Aleksa Gligorijevi\u0107, and Mihailo Mileti\u0107 performed their duties, led by Head Referee Mihailo \u0160undovi\u0107.<\/p>\n Every idea, identified problem, innovative solution, and their presentation was followed by three Innovation Project judges: Danka Mitrovi\u0107 Lani\u0161tanin, Mirko Spasojevi\u0107, and Valentin \u0160e\u0161ko.<\/p>\n To what extent each team incorporated the Core Values into their work and behavior during the final event was evaluated by Milica Arsi\u0107, Sandra Stojkovi\u0107, and Nemanja Stoj\u0161i\u0107.<\/p>\n The evaluation also considered how the participants programmed the robot, constructed its design, and chose their missions and the strategies to complete them. All of this was carefully observed and listened to by the Robot Design judges: Suad Suljovi\u0107, Ivan Paunovi\u0107, and Ivan Mileti\u0107.[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”56564″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”right-to-left”][vc_column_text el_class=”tekst”]This team of enthusiasts was formed and held together by Tijana Jaki\u0107, the Judge Advisor for the FIRST LEGO League program in Serbia. This season, as in previous ones, Tijana had the serious task of overseeing the judges’ work and ensuring that everything ran smoothly and according to the highest standards.[\/vc_column_text]
